Windowblinds for Windows 8 Schedule

When?

Hi Guys,

I know you have mentioned that you would not have a build ready for the launch but I was wondering what sort of timeline you would expect?

I ask because I'm due a workstation upgrade and its going to include a fresh W8 install. I didn't install WB on my current computer as I always found Windows 7 pretty enough for me, however after two weeks with Visual Studio 2012 Pro I'm starting to pine for pretty windows again.

All this utility (modern?) styling is like living next to the London Southbank :

It's on our list.  There's quite a bit of work involved to do it right since they got rid of Aero (including the blurred windows functionality).

Yes. MS bastards. They "ripped"/locked out optional functionality of their core system. Why not just leave it as optional?

Does Stardock have to now revisit the old XP problem where we simply didn't have a windows drawing/desktop composition engine which supported alpha blending and layering? Back to the good/bad old days of fully opaque edges/regions. *sigh*

I loved my glass taskbar.. it was one of the nicest features windows ever created as far as appearance goes... actually caused me to be relaxed in front of the PC... I do hope you all can do something about it.. there is.. a hidden msstyles file for an " aerolite" in the resources directory.. so it is still somewhat there, btu I didn't like the way it worked.. I feel like I am back on windows 3.11... Horribly ugly interface... fast, but ugly as a bag of flaming dog poo on your doorstep. - heh.. I look forward to the new version of Windowblinds..

Namaste...

It's a big task to get everything updated for Windows 8, and we typically don't give schedules because things happen and cannot always be delivered on time.

It's better to get it right, than to rush.
