whats your favorite skin and artist?

Well making a choose is difficult. Soooo much talent around here. But if I have to make one it would be for WindowBlinds:

Artist (Entire Portfolio): Essorant

Skin: GalCiv - By Treetog

None and none, but it's bound to be one of those ancient K-Jöfol skins.

hmmm...to have to make a choice...impossible to choose a favorite artist, they are all great.
Favorite skin is also a difficult choice, there are sooo many great skins, however I tend to use Lean Green for my everyday skin. It's easy on the eyes (and I have really lousy eyes).

I can see a thread full of 'Treetog' coming on, hehe.

and for my pick, well:
Treetog - Attacker for WB

Treetog and Essorant for WindowBlinds.
MobiusCo for 3D stuff.
Nuvem for art/wallpapers.
Ceeslans for Litestep. (honourable mention to Jafo, LS God!)
Me for QuickNotes.

I like Judge and APB is also good, Alexandries and adni makes great skin, the one i use now is Chad Ross's Unmitigated Orange xp, there is so many good once,

treetog Makinarama (although I've used most of his WB skins at some time or another)

Anything by Essorant.

And one skinner I miss is Shawn Murdock. Even though they are out of date, his Sigma skins are some of the most sylish WB skins I've ever seen.

and i have to agree with crae, Misery´s K-Jofol skins have not been topped yet.

I am very sorry, but I can´t talk about just one favorite artist, I could wrote a really huge list here, containing a couple of dozen of 'favorite artists', so I will need to talk about at least 3 of them.

1- My dear friend and allways master and teatcher, Dangeruss, the person that introduced me into the skin suites world.

2- My lovely "pixxy" partner and best friend Alexandrie, who is not just a fantastic skinner, but also a great web designer and programer.

3- My Portuguese friend Nuvem, the best digital artist I know.

(no special order for the names above)

Regarding skins, the one that made me come to the skinning world was Capsula from Allen Bond , my all times favorite skin.

I use so many. I really like Davad's Seti green and I've been using his mud theme for WD for a while. It reminds me a lot of MetalX which is a favorite WB skin. UniverseMetal by Pixtudio is great as is Lunar Base. Ambient by Adni is really cool as well.

Some stuff by some skinners is wonderful, other things by the same author doesn't interest me as much. That's what's so great about skinning isn't it.

I have many, anything by treetog and/or Alexandrie. MetalX with grahaze is great. UniverseMetal is my fav right now. WB's- Logika,UniverseMetal,anile,Sage,LiteBlue,GalCiv and on and on.... I just get so into glass and metal...

Dangeruss, Pixtudio, Hippy, Essorant, Steve Moss, Honz12, Titan, and i like some stuff from Chad Ross too

Every author in WinCustomize has a special personality that covers a range of people.
I believe that is unfair to leave someone out of our choices, because there are many marvelous authors here in WinCustomize. So, the only thing I can say is that I like them all!

I have to agree with adni, there are so many great skinners active nowadays that it would be impossible for me to choose one (or two ) . However, there are some skinners who've left the scene that I dearly miss their work...The Professor and MvH designs especially.

Thug Life, by Praxxis....[it's a LiteSTEP theme]....why? Because it was the first theme to really show me something that definitely wasn't WindBlows.....Feb,'99....

I also have to agree with adni. All the skinners bring something unique and different to the table. I do have some favorite skins. Wallpaper- Gods Microwave.

My favorite skin: my own. It keeps all my other parts from falling out and making a mess all over the place.

adni, yes you are correct. all who take the time to make skins for us to enjoy have their own style. Thanks to all.....

It could use a tan though

Out of the skinners who have been around a while, I would have to say Koasati and Davidk. They both skin the way they want to skin, without thinking more about what's popular than what they like themselves. They are both very helpful to newbies without being condescending (usually).

As far as newer skinners, there are so many with a lot of great potential I don't think I could choose *s*.


Unfortunately I'm very concieted, so I'll have to say that my favorite skin is whatever skin I am working on at the moment *s*

(though the dutchy is stingy so I have to beg & steal from him)
