Oh yeah. I remember that one too. I seem to recall folks were calling other folks Trilateralists

The Trilateral Commission is only a piece of the story, don't forget the Bildebergs or the Council on Foriegn Relations (CFR). Every President we've had in the US for the last 40 years has been a member of at least one of those three groups. And the "Shadow Government" - no discussion of the Illuminati would be meaningful without talking about the shadow government. It's not even considered a conspiracy theory or paranoia. It's a simple fact that these groups exist and exert a powerful influence over world events and political policies. The only one that's kind of secretive about their existence is the Bildebergs but their annual meetings are fairly high profile since there's usually a military presence guarding whatever site they choose and no media coverage is allowed.

If you don't think the world's top governments are run by wealthy industrialists then, what world are you referring to?

One morning, when I was about 10 years old, I looked out through the window at the clothes line (live in the country) and thought for sure that there was a UFO in the field. Nope, it wasn't. It was actually sunlight reflecting off the dew on a really big spiders web. I should have taken a picture, because it looked like a silver disc floating in the field. I wonder how many other "UFO" sightings are from stuff like that.

But, I still think that the black helicopters are after me.....

The Triateral Commision is a myth. Every politist and historian I have talked to concerning that all told me almost laughed at me when I asked about it. It's a myth apparently put together by some people to discredit the western capitalist system. But in truth, there is no such thing.

You could be right about the Trilateral Commission paxx http://trilateral.org:9999/moreinfo/faqs.htm It's not something I've looked into so I don't know what's true about them, they're a fairly recent invention. The people attributed with starting the group and forming their core beliefs and goals are certainly real though. If anything, the Trilateral Commission is somewhat benign and compassionate towards developing nations. Zbignew Brezhinski's ideas on how to get support for the cause are frightenly heartless though. Like creating Islamic terrorists as an enemy to replace the Soviets when the cold war fizzles out. A bad idea that has had horrible consequences.

The Bilderbergs (I misspelled it before) are a group that formed in 1954 and has had an annual meeting ever since. There is no real membership list and the meetings are held in secret. Their name comes from the Hotel they held their first meeting in. It's said that world policy is decided at these meetings. Whatever is the focus of the meetings gets rolled out as policy in the following year.

I don't follow these groups or know much about them so I'm not a good one for information. I do believe they exist and I also believe they have a very strong influence over world events. In fact, their existence is not an issue and the secretive nature of their meetings is not in doubt either. Most of what is on the net about them is pretty radical stuff.

here's some Bilderberg links:
