I am having a problem and dunno how to get it fixed. I hope someone out there can hlp me. I used to have my system skinned just fine with trekpad. I had system problems and had to reinstall everything. Now I cannot get skinning to work. I tried several skins and none of the work. They skin internet explorer but none of my other windows things are skinned. Is this something in my setup? Help help

A Google search for Trekpad found nothing related to skinning. What is Trekpad? Do you have a link handy?

Sounds like you have Weblinds installed, which only skins IE.

Btw, you wouldn't happen to be THE Cheryl Baker of 1980's Pop darlings 'Buck's Fizz' would you?
(you never know)

I remember Bucks Fizz! Cheryl was very pretty, but the other girl had the most amazing legs! Man, I used to dream about those legs..................Ho Hum........what was the question? was it about legs?

Must be a Brittish thing... (?)

Maybe Cheryl was using Litestep, and had Jafo's theme "Trekface"? That's all I can think of, unless it was one of those L Cars themes from Star Trek.
/me drifts off with the other girls legs again........

David: Could be a British thing, I don't know if Bucks Fizz ever cracked the U.S. market. It's possible though, they were real big here for a while. Cheryl Baker went on to be a successful television presenter, but I don't know what happened to the other girl, or her legs.......*sigh*

/me doesn't think Bucks Fizz every went anywhere outside of Britain

The only thing I know about it is from watching BBC, and that's little to none.

They 'thought' they might make it in Oz, like ABBA did...but ABBA at least had music....Bucks Fizzle was as musically capable as the Monkees...both were music by numbers...

trekpad is a skin here on wincustomize. I have the whole object desktop package and like I said it used to work but now it does not. EVERYTiME I try to apply a window blinds it does iexplore but nothing else. At first it seemed to skin things but than switched back to the default immediatly. Now it just skins iexplore and nothing else. I have uninstalled OD and reinstalled but still n luck. Maybe someone could walk me through how to do window blinds. I thought you just went to display properties and selected the blinds you wanted and that was it but it does not seem to be working any longer here

alright I apologize after some more playing around here is what I see. iexplore is getting skinned cause it is set to use the windowblinds setting. So when I change windowblinds web blinds will follow suite. BUT windowblinds is not skinning anything. It does nothing. I do to display properties and select windo blinds and pick tje skin I want and it does nothing... Nothing is skinned. I have like i said uninstalled and started from scratch but no help.

more info. In winstyles if I check the box that says laod application on skin change if I click window blinds that is what causes the skins to show up for a minute and than go away. If I do not check that box they do not change. Also in the first section where it says load programs on start window blinds is not checked and if I check it it just unchecks itself. I dunno if maybe window blinds is not running?? >

okay I understand I am talking to myself here but that is okay Okay so that is the problem. Window blinds is NOT starting on startup for some reason. If I go to the OD pull odwn menu and click on windowblinds it starts and my stuff is skinned. I guess the question is WHY won't window blinds start automatically??????

You're not talking to yourself...........but I have no answers.........maybe after more coffee.

No sweat, someone should keep us on topic.

/me has no answers either, but an empty thread is so sad, so he fills things up a bit

Cheryl: when WB is running, double click it's icon in the systray, when the settings box opens, click "system" at the bottom left, there is an option that says "prevent window blinds from running at startup". Make sure you UNCHECK this option. Should start automatically now.
It's a shame you are not THE Cheryl Baker, you could have given me the phone number of the babe with the legs as a reward for helping you!

Was that the "other" girl's name, Griffinme? I don't suppose YOU have her number?

Well it may not be very scientific but I just kept turning things on and starting things and now when I load my OD theme window blinds does start and it is even in the system tray.. I imagine now when I go to play with it to shut off some of the things I do not like it will stop ha ha ha. thanks
for all the help. At least it is working again

Well after working fine for a day it is back to not skinning my apps again
I sure wish someone knew what was wrong. I cannot get windowblinds to load or run or do anything...

I did a Google search on Bucks Fizz. Apperantly nowdays she does back-up vocals mostly.

Cheryl have you tried posting your problems to the stardock news group for windowblinds? Answers are gotten there instead of talk of brittish vocalists. the server is news.stardock.com and there are a few groups for windowblinds on it..
