Hey skinners!

First, I want to say that these skins are awesome! However... I downloaded about 10 skins just now, all that when I open my start menu, it is quite boring. Just one solid color, and the option to have my logon picture is gone, with the old cheesy look of a color strip instead. These skins are so beautiful in the previews, it's such a disappointment to download them, and find that when they are applied, they are not as intricate as they seem to have been. Maybe better previews are needed, or maybe just a little more attention to the way the start menu looks with these skins.

Again, these skins rock, and I am thoroughly impressed. I don't make them myself, so I don't know how much work you put into it. I just thought I'd give my feedback.

What kind of skins do you mean? Windowblinds?
Some Windowblinds skins (most in fact) where made before Windows XP was around so they don't have the start menu/taskbar enhancements. The other possibility is... are you using WindowsXP? If not, you won't get the Start menu/taskbar enhancements that are specific to XP only. If that is the case, then you can download ObjectBar to add those bits to any version of Windows...

Ohhhh.... I see. I didnt' know that Windowblinds was made before WindowsXP. Is there a better program I can use to get these skins that you know of? Thanks a bunch.

It's not the program. You need to download the windowblinds that have the XP icon showing next to the windowblind preview. These have the XP support that you are wanting.

I am running WindowsBlinds in Windows 2000 and everything has been beautiful and just as shown in the previews. The objectbars work perfectly as well.

I would like to thank all the skin developers for making these downloads possible and all the hard work you have put into them.

Rachel: It may sound like a stupid question, but, do you have the WindowBlinds PROGRAM? If you don't have it, the skins don't work.
You can download it here: https://www.stardock.com
