Preview window in windowblinds

When I zoom in to preview a skin in WindowBlinds, a lot of the views seem to also be using a matching Object Bar skin. Are these people running Windows XP that does this for them (creates the start bar)? or are they creating matching Object Bar themes to go with thier WindowBlinds skin and are not uploading them to this site? Just wondering, I'm running Win98.
Thanks

Under Windows XP, the task bar and start menu are skinned by WindowBlinds. On 98/2000 (which don't have the XP style task bar and start menu) you can use ObjectBar. ObjectBar is capable of importing those parts from the WindowBlinds skin and creating an ObjectBar skin from them automatically. This, in most cases, elminiates the need to create a matching ObjectBar. Hopefully that clarifies things.

Would it be too much to ask how to do this (have Object Bar automatically create an ObjectBar skin from WindowBlinds on win 98)?

Assuming you're using a WB skin that includes the the skins for the XP start menu and task bar, and assuming you're running ObjectBar...

1. Go to the ObjectBar Theme Browser.
2. Scroll down and select/single-click the Windows XP (blahblahblah V1.0)
3. Pulldown the Styles combobox at the bottom of the dialogbox and select *Use WindowBinds Skin*
4. Then press OK.

Now ObjectBar should use the WindowBlinds skin. If you switch your WindowBlinds skin, it detects the change and switches the ObjectBar skin for you.

However, this doesn't always work. Its a hit or miss process for this to work. Some skins don't convert or have artifacts in the taskbar or start menu. It depends on how the skinner created the WindowBlinds XP skin.

I think its because WindowBlinds XP skinning has had some enhancements in it and ObjectBar is slightly behind in its conversion process. Hopefully this'll be corrected in a future version of ObjectBar.

In some cases, if the conversion is not good there are seperate OB themes created for the skin. Browse through the OB section if you find one that doesn't work, there might be a theme created for it.
