Rebellion pre-order and Gamestop's Impulse

Not looking a gift-horse in the mouth here, just curious. If I want to get the pre-order discount do I order through impulse or through gamestop downloads?

Since Impulse is owned by Gamestop do I get my usual game stop rewards member discount as well?

The preorder discount for Trinity owners is available only when buying directly from Stardock.
