[Note: the logon screen is not available if your machine is joined to a domain.]

Why can't users on a domain use LogonXP?
Will this be addressed in future builds?
I think this excludes a LOT of users, namely anyone on cable or on a network, which is just sad, I hope to Jebus this can be worked around somehow.

Ditch XP......

easy solution

Windows 3.11 through 2000 works with domain computers .

Am I missing something? Why should I "ask Microsuck" why Stardock software won't run? What does my logon screen (locally) have to do with any domain? Here's a what-if: I just delete the domain name & reboot (without internet) should I then be able to put a Logon in place? I just don't get the connection. C'mon Frogboy, zat how you treat a newbie? Let's see something a little more verbose maybe?

Thanks.

Phydeaux, it's a XP thing (Microsoft) not a Logon XP (Stardock) thing. The default logon screen in XP is not available if you're connected to a network domain. Works if you're in a workgroup but not a domain...

My bad... I just figured that out, I can be a real dumb-ass when I try hard enough, I had domain & worgroup confused. I guess the issue I'm having is the same as the others posted, needing to rename the files to .zip & go from there. Hope this works, I'm anxious to try out some better looking screens than those (now boring) blue ones.

Sorry for the stupidity.
