Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

If you can find a nurse, I just happen to have a spare uniform...

/me is puzzled over why people want to get a flu shot

surely if you have the flu you have a reason not to go to work?

i haven't been here of late, mainly due to work *sigh*
the current job is urgent, needs doing to a very high standard, and apparently there is a lot riding on it. you can tell it is so important by the way we keep getting pulled off onto other jobs *sigh*

then there is the person working with me on the job, who seems to think that "demanding" the program be written now helps. he also seems to think that badgering me 20 times a day, and demanding new features, and expecting them to be written in 1 second each helps >

of course, to add to the happiness is the pillock who sits behind me
he seems to think that insulting people is the greatest and most stunningly clever thing ever invented >
not a good plan to insult me, then ask for my help >

i am practising zen, and imagining he doesn't exist, so i never listen to him, and never speak to him zen is good

/me has inspiration!
flu shot is an excuse to hide in a small room with a nurse for a few hours!
/me looks around for nurse GM

/me tries to decide what looks better
a) fuzzy in a nurses uniform
b) GM in chocolate spread

/me thinks we are going to have to compare these two to find out

I practise Zen regularly. When ever a user asks me for help I go to the canteen for a cup of coffee instead o helping. By the time I get back everything has sorted itself out. Zen has a way of putting the universe to rights

/me decides to look for the answer to a long standing zen mystery
first, i need to borrow fuzzy's spanking paddle
/me nibbles it
yep, this is a good quality chocolate spanking paddle

/me looks around for fuzzy...
it is time to answer that famous question... "what is the sound of one hand spanking?"

Hmmm, at first I thought all my red blotches had come from all this spanking Seems I have shingles. Bleh, what a nightmare. I've been miserable all week...

I need a nurse...

AWWWWWWWW    /me looks around for a nurse who spanks good......

What  you really need is a good tickle.... if I remember right, shingles is aggrivated by stress.  So time for you to take your medicine......  go out with friends and get a little tickled.... or a lot.

/me wonders if we should be stocking up on marathon thread memories now.... cuz the new forum will maybe have all new threads and we have to leave the old ones back?

That cat is tickling in just about the right spot (except mine is on the right), plus one or two other areas which I won't elaborate on...

Stress? STRESS? STRESS??? /me digs nails into keyboard. What makes people think I'm stressed

/me downs another cup of coffee to steady the nerves and in doing so bites a large chunk out of the cup...

Never thought of that, the marathon thread disappearing into history

/me feels miserable now as well as feeling...miserable...

/me *SPLUTTER*
/me ***RASPBERRY***

GM is SO going to get SPANKED for saying such a wicked thing!!!

the marathon thread is not this long list of posts, it isn't even a function of wincustomize! the marathon thread is about friends, friendship, togetherness, love, happiness, that feeling of having a home, and people who care about you and love you waiting for you there!

if needs be, i can fit all of you with travelling jackets /me *innocent expression number 29*
and after making sure all of the buckles are done up nice and neatly, and we will move over to a new home. it is the people, you! who make this special!

i do hope it does not come to this, but if it does... *sigh* i would like to think stardock would not be so uncaring as to loose the old important threads, but it is possible.

regardless, our friendship will live on! long live chocolate, spankings, tickling, hugs, and most of all friendship!

i don't really fit so well into the nurse's outfit, but *BIG HUG*
/me hands fuzzy some chocolate to eat

if you think it would help i could tell you some stories of my day job, and how "well" things are going at the moment *sigh*

you know, i was thinking the other day that if we made a really large and powerful mechanical spanking paddle, we could send people to mars, with a single *THWACK* there are a few people where i work who would benefit from this

fuzzy, you need to spend more time here, thinking happy thoughts! fill your mind with good things, with memories of friends, with thoughts of chocolate, and visions of nurses

i know how it feels to work in a place that seems designed to wind you up and fill you with stress *rolls eyes*

the person who sits behind me at work only seems to open their mouth for one of three reasons:
a) to insult someone, as "well" as he can
b) to ask questions, which are clearly designed either to be irritating or insulting
c) to ask questions since he suddenly needs your help

for some strange reason i don't feel inclined to help him. i have defeated the stress problem by deciding he doesn't exist, and simply totally ignoring everything he ever says

see, together we can beat your stress, make the world a better place, and decide which pattern of chocolate paint all over GM makes the best nurses uniform

This thread kills my dial-up connection . Thought I would finally catch up with with Fuzzys personal thread though.

This isn't my personal thread - it belongs to everyone who calls it home

Ditto. Let me tell you a story...

This week, following a meeting I had with the MD regarding unauthorised installation of software on company equipment, he issued an e-mail to everyone requiring them to remove all unauthorised/illegal software within the next week, or else...

Now that sounds good, but, as you and I know, users know how to put junk on a PC, but not how to remove it.... and most think they haven't done anything wrong anyway.

Typical conversation:

Me (to sales rep): You've installed Autoroute on your laptop, where's the license?

Sales rep: Err, haven't got one - it's my mate's copy

Me: Please remove it immediately, all software needs to be licensed.

Sales rep: Um, OK - don't use it anyway, I've got this other program that's better. That doesn't need a license, it's my dad's copy...

Me: Aaaaaagh!!! (tears hair out strand by strand)

/me goes in a corner and sobs...

/me looks for the magic words that will make everything better

how about "chocolate coated GM"

it sounds like you have to deal with a similiar level of irritation at your job as i have to at my job, it is just being done differently.

i definetly think you need to spend more time here, filling yourself with happy thoughts

Here's a good one. It takes a while to set up a new laptop for someone, so I have to plan ahead to fit the work in with my other duties.

Next Monday I will be doing wages all day. Tuesday, I'm in Nottingham all day training. Wednesday, we have a new National Account Manager starting. Has anyone thought who is going to set up a new laptop by Wednesday? No. Has anyone even ordered a new laptop? No. Do I care... No...

I give up.

/me needs lots of chocolate, sob...

A chocolate coated GM is a start

*sigh* fuzzy, its about as good as the "person" at work
he hands me some notes on the next part of the program i have to write. it takes 2 days to get enough information from him to explain the notes, fix the typo's, and fill in all of the missing blanks, so i can start work.

then, half an hour later, he is hassling me for the program!!! given i have just spent 2 days doing his job, and making proper notes, perhaps he should wait until i have done my part before hassling me!

also, perhaps when he reports "the program doesn't work" he should run it against the right data instead? *rolls eyes*

it wouldn't be so bad, but this person really should know better. i get the sense he just doesn't care *sigh*

fuzzy, look on the bright side, it sounds like you don't get the managing director coming and having a panic attack by your desk, and saying that unless you finish the current job by the (totally impossible) deadline the company will go bust, and everyone, you included, will loose their jobs >

i have been there, had it happen, *many* times, got the t-shirt *sigh*

"leadership and how not to do it", this new educational video is filmed entirely on location at a secret location, and is an invaluable tool for anyone wanting to run a successful company where moral is not a dirty word.

i think i will share that chocolate coated GM you are not the only one in need of some chocolate

/me develops a cunning plan!

every time fuzzy thinks about work, or looks depressed, or stressed...
basically any time fuzzy isn't focusing on the good things about being here, with his friends, the rest of us get to eat the chocolate off of a chocolate coated GM, while fuzzy watches! /me *wicked giggles*

i would have said we should spank fuzzy, but that doesn't sound like enough of a deterrent to keep the "naughty" thoughts at bay!

see, the things we will do for a friend!

I don't think a chocolate nibble is enough - I need a chcolate frenzy
Reply #12324 Top
/me isnt sure i feel up to delivering a chocolate spanking paddle frenzy
still, if you will kindly bend over, i will see what i can do!

i don't really fit so well into the nurse's outfit

Don't worry, the buckles and straps on the outfit are adjustable...
