Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

"Oh, by the way, that huge explosion yesterday that killed 75,000 people, was caused by an asteroid which was not detected by scientists. One expert at NASA was quoted as saying 'Oops. Hee hee. Guess we shoulda caught that one'."

I would think a rock the size of a football field would be easy to see. but, since I'm not a scientist, I guess I don't know what I'm talking about.

Of course, in general, I usually don't know what I'm talking about....

For me (us) it was a a full moon yesterday. Or at least it looked like one, I'm in the U.K. Anyone know a good site to check this on? Why would everyone be preoccupied by it anyway? Do they have hair on the palms of their hands?
Oh and what time zone is this site in? I post this at 01.14 GMT.
no, only werewolf has an excuse for a full moon.

We are on Eastern Standard time, except for right now which is daylight savings time.
which means we're on Eastern Daylight Time

There's actually a great moon-phase site out there, but I'll be damned I can remember where it is. I used it doing writing research like 5 years ago. It's probably gone by now!

Go to www.astrosurf.com/avl/UK_index.html where there's a nifty little program called Virtual Moon Atlas. Its a moon map, with zoom in and named features. It also shows you the moon's phase in real time. Best of all. it's free!

Fuzzy Logic - Lets turn 1200 into 2000. Besides, having got the 1000th post I'm looking forward to getting 2000th - unless someone challenges me... Any takers?

/me needs to think of a suitable punishment for fuzzy logic

how dare you go around spelling "challenges" like that! here i am trying to find your post so as to reply to it, but i cannot find a word i cannot spell

as for post 2000, i am prepared to challenge you!

however, since when ever such a mile stone gets closer, half of the entrire web appears out of nowhere to chalenge me, me challenging you will have a cascade effect. "the avelanche has started, it is to late for the pebbles to vote"

/me wonders if this means i should turn fuzzy logic into a pebble?

so, crae is going through one of his "lets burry it in the back garden" phases.

so, does this explain why banana hasnt been seen around here for ages now? most clouds dont last that long, so she should have fallen out of the sky by now, when her cloud bed misted into mist

java brain - Hey, where is Feline? I miss that Cat!

little me? i have been oscilating between lots of sleep, battling the weeds in the garden, and my latest masterstroke of insane evil!

i seem to be writing a book.
/me wonders if the book would cause Jafo to spontaniously combust
if so, what colour would he favour? personally i have always liked purple flames for spontanious combustion. that way when you get to watch yourself, it is suitably attractive

so, is JavaBrain a solid or a liquid?

this matters, since i see no good reason to rewire my mental map of people to accept this temporary name change

so, if she is a solid, we become like a gentle stream, wearing away at her resolve until the wisdom of our point is accepted.

but if she is a liquid, then we simply use the many whirlpools of interacting and intersecting conciousness to seperate the flase layering from the true inner self, returning her to the name we have come to know and love her by.

what are you talking about feline? hehe
oh well hello feline

Sorry I've neglected..but the phone lines are screwed up for the past four to five days, and we're still waiting for people to come fix it... before that happens, I can't be online much =/

Feline..the challenge will take place at the hour of scampering...

As for turning me into a pebble, it would be a much more peaceful existence than I have now...

Feline, I'm a solid, but aren't humans mainly water? So, I guess I am both....nice to see you back, btw

Fuzzy logic, I will find you and kick you in the shin if you get the 2000th post. I am usually not very violent, but that might put me over the edge
Reply #1223 Top
so, if you get the 2,000th post, not only do you get the satisfaction, you also get personal attension from JavaBrain

sounds like quite an insentive to me

i wouldnt presume that you are a human, after all, that could be quite insulting

so, knowing you are a solid, all that remains is to wear away at your new name, until it reveals you old one

it is good to have been missed
