Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

/me has thought of a new game

we put fuzzy logic and werewolf info two straigh jackets. then we secure the two straight jackets together with some leather straps

we need to make sure that the knecks of the straignt jackets are loose

then we all get a selection of ice cubes, and we chaise fuzzy logic and werewolf around a clearing. everytime we catch them we get to shove ice cubes down the straight jackets!

Sigh, what I wouldn't give for some ice cubes. An incredibly oppresive 32C here today. It's now 11:00 in the evening and I'm wet from head to foot. There's no way to get away from it. If only there was a cool breeze...any breeze...

/me is just about to start the fourth pint of orange juice today

It's too hot to go chasing round. Let's play another game - everybody lay on the ground belly up and covered in ice cubes.

I'm sorry Fuzzy for the heat. It hasn't been that hot here, but it's been hot enough. I use my AC There we go, Big huge ass coolers we all could lay or play in
Reply #9458 Top
We don't have 'AC' here. With summer temperatures mostly between 20C and 24C with the occasional hot day, it's only really worth it for some shops and offices.

Every so often we get a heatwave and lately they have come more often and lasted longer. The current one is 10 days old and has been over 30C every day. I've been to other countries which are much hotter, but it doesn't feel the same. It gets oppressive here once you get to 26C and above. You just end up lethargic.

/me wants our normal summer back

/me 's prescription for hot summer night sleeping.... Put a large round fan beside your bed so that it is level with you (well, in my case, since I have a king sized bed and it doesn't matter which way I sleep on it. For another size bed, put it at your head. It should be in front of an open window for best effect). Make sure the oscillation is disabled. Clip a bed sheet on the edges, make sure the back is clear for intake. Turn it on high. The sheet billows out, trapping the current which has only one escape... flowing directly over hot sweaty you and nowhere else! Feels good and you can pretend you are under a grand tent!

We don't have AC either... the building was constructed to catch the trades and when they are gone it is darn hot.

Hey, in the last couple of minutes a strong breeze has arrived!!! Wheeee

Tomorrow is forecast cloudy and 20C, then the next three days clear and 22C...

/me has only got to survive today then it's back to normal, sigh

/me will try GM's wind-tunnel. My bedroon last night was 35C - aaaaagh!!!

...maybe fuzzy got blown away in his wind tunnel.....

Nope, still here

Muuuuuch cooler today, even a bit of rain (forgot what that was )

Yesterday set a new UK record - 37.9C (100.2F) - wooo hoo!

Sigh, maybe my chocolate won't melt as much now.
Ouch, 100.2°F is just too much. I don't know what I would of done. Maybe stayed in a pool of water in a shady area till it was over.
No need to get in a pool - I was wet just sitting here

Another part of the UK had 38.1C (100.6F). Back to normal today though, so I'm going walking this afternoon. Mmmm, feels sooo fresh...

hmmm...it seems like the post that I posted yesterday never actually posted   i wonder what happened to it?  And, the worst part is: I can't remember everything that I said!

I know that it had something to do with hoping that feline and fuzzy didn't melt and that they could always come over and sit in my pool.

Has anyone else tried the cotton candy dum dum suckers?  They're pretty good!

A disappearing post bug? You want to report that to someone at Stardock, hehehe

Mmmm, pool sounds nice. Is it a coffee pool?

/me is still melting...

Tomorrow will be cooler here. "They" promise less than 30C. /me hopes they are right.

If it were closer to the "10,000" mark I would blame you

Mmmm, pool sounds nice. Is it a coffee pool?

It could be....but then I would be tempted to get a big straw and drink it (espcially if it was nice and cold...maybe with some cream and ice....hmmmmmm...an iced cappucino pool!)

It's only 81 F (27 C) here today    (Of course, that is cooler than it has been.  But its been cool at night.  It was only 71 when I left home this morning).  It's edging on Fall here, though, so it should start cooling down.   (I like Fall!)
