Msgboard Chatroom Marathon

Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

/me wanders in, plops down, and waits for someone to wander by who i can *HUG*
i need a HUG right about now.

i was starting to feel all happy and relaxed. on holiday from work for a week, and following a format my machine i actually seemed to have my fast machine working again.

and then, about 2 hours ago, a sudden hard lock!!! *sob*
so, a question for JavaBean, is it possible, i dont care about the odds, for DesktopX to hard lock a winXP machine? i was only running one item in the theme, my online time plugin, which simply updates the text of a text mode label.

/me appreciates fuzzy's efforts
however, given what has just happened with my machine (see the other thread about winXP problems) even that isnt enough *sad sigh*

I've just read that thread, sigh, don't know what to suggest next. These kind of faults are difficult to track down. As you have several different faults it's most likely the mobo. Sorry I can't be of more use. My PC support is hands on and I'm no good long distance.

Last weekend I fixed someone's pc. He'd been having trouble for weeks with no Internet or e-mail. I fixed it in a couple of minutes. Problem is I did such a good job he's pestering me to go back and do some more work - I declined, I've had enough of computers this week.

Tuesday night we had a power cut at work. Got into work Wednesday to find all the servers sitting on log-on screens, the A/S400 switched off, the router missing half it's config and the main BT phone system with a fried hard drive. On top of that my IT colleague (A/S400) was off sick all week. I had the servers back up in a couple of minutes. The router needed an engineer, that left us without external e-mail for a day. The BT box required an engineer - that took two days to fix. I got the A/S 400 back up in 5hrs despite having very little knowledge of that system. And guess what - no-one said thanks, despite the fact I single handedly got the Company up and running, all I got was complaints.

/me would like to have a job where what you do is appreciated

/me must remember to check today's lotto numbers... (there's always hope!)

If I win the lotto I'll buy you a new pc

Testing...

Doesn't look like it's going too well

Fuzzy? It's not going well? In that case you can have my last liter of Chocolade Slagroomvla.

/me is on his way to get him some more. Just in case.

I need more than just chocolate. The whole (outside) world went mad yesterday.

/me would have been happier if the lotto numbers had come up

/me takes comfort in knowing the chocolate planet is still safe

/me buys a lottery ticket.

If I win I'll buy feline a computer.

Anything I can do for you?

You know my e-mail address, don't you?

/me wanders in, mischievously throws some chocolate buttons up at OC's window, then bounds back into the forest

Of all the malevolent creatures....if I catch whoever threw them chocolate buttons at my window I'll...I'll....whup up on 'em with a Pool Noodle the size of a .....locomotive. Anyway.....back to bed...to dream of contraptions and traps....and pinching all the girls bottoms...and of course the joust at 10,000 posts...and GREAT RASPBERRIES falling from the sky on top of Fuzzy Logic......snarf. /me ponders just how far OC's claws can reach

Those claws are pretty mean when it comes to pinching girl's bottoms, but I'm not sure if they can cope with a rampaging fuzzy...
