Honestly, I would go to IRC for this kind of stuff, but if any of you have been there recently, everyone seems to be...inactive. Sooooooooo, out of boredom, I'm turning a thread among this msgboard into a chat room, anyone care to join? =P.

It's Sunday night, and I'm bored out of my mind. There's much to do, but I'm too lazy to get around to do it. My boyfriend is busying trying to get Visual Studios to work so I can't talk to him on the phone....and we can't seem to talk over the phone anyways...it'll just be silence mostly.

New Semester started........so anyone alive out there to join Elffie in this chat marathon? =P

Let's try not to let this post hang for over 2 hours, hm? =P

Also the page numbering thing is screwed up. At first it wouldn't take me to page 91, now, 91 is the only page # showing.

If I go back a page, the page numbers go from 81 to 90. When I go to page 91, 91 is the only page number showing. Hmmmm. I wonder if T-Man is lurking around in the code somewhere

Weaksid...I'm using the Wincustomize Skin Browser and have it set to show 50 posts per page, so 91 pages...

Looks like you are using the internet version so your number of pages might be different (specially if you have than 50 posts/page).

It's taking ages to load pages. I click on the subject and my connection goes dead for ages, then suddenly comes on

Got it set to 30 per page. Mostly it just sits there saynd 'downloading thread' with no network activity. Same when I click submit, it sits there for ages doing nothing.

/me thinks this is a cunning plan to stop him getting the 5000th post

Bandwidth is maxed everywhere, that is why it is slow. Too many users at a time. *sigh*. We keep getting more bandwidth and more servers, which then draws more people, which then requires more bandwidth and more servers...
Not sure why the page numbering is messed up. I know T-Man has been working on some things, so that might be it.... or maybe things don't work right once the thread gets over 4500 posts long? Hi!

Seems a bit quicker now...

I notice if I click on back I get a selection of pages back from 150. Maybe they are displayed in groups as well as threads? I think browser should be set up to show the last 30 on a page, rather than starting a new page when the current is full. This page is showing 14 (4500 to 4513) - I prefer a rolling 30.

I'm wondering if the coding on the website has a limit of how many entries can be in one thread.. ASP has it's limit. But it depends on the designer

I suspect it goes by the tens... pages 1 - 10 show, then 11 - 20. So when we are on the next page it will be 181,182 and so on.
