[bug] Induced Reverence

Im not sure if it is supposed to be like this but it only starts to increase allegiance once the planet has culture on it.

Its the way all allegiance bonuses work. It increases the max possible allegiance, not the baseline.

So you have to have culture in on your planet to increase allegiance even if its upgraded? That is kind of lame :/

why you would have a tier 8 tech and not culture on all your planets...

He's talking about the starbase upgrade at tech 4, not Allure of the Unity which is tier 8.

Well why do you think it has culture as a prereq? ;) While perhaps not worth a starbase upgrade its an extremely good bonus, and if you're losing the culture war as the Advent you're probably in trouble.

Hmmm... thats interesting.  Maybe this is why Induced Reverence doesn't increase an ally's allegiance when you have a starbase at his home?  I just thought it was a bug.

I need to do some more testing.  It should increase his allegiance if you have your culture there though!?

I believe your culture bonuses will only affect your ships and planets. The most friendly culture will do in my observation is increase allegiance on allied planets up to the normal 10% boost.

Well my main gripe with it is that it does not actually say anywhere you need culture. It was a test I was doing to find out how much allegiance increased your credit income and thats where I noticed this:p

Its the exact same bonus given by Allure of the Unity, so I don't think they thought it was required.

Allure doesn't say it either xD

I can understand culture alone upping allegiance but if I buy something, it should do what I bought it to do.

But that is the bonus culture provides, increasing allegiance.

That said, its been like that since 1.0 so perhaps already knowing for years how it works I can't see the issue.

I never bothered getting it, I only did it for the wiki haha. Regardless of if we know it was like that since 1.0 when this game gets more advertisement(upon release) newer players may be confused by it. Im just saying change the tooltip to let people know.
