Performance on Win XP vs. Win 2k

Hi all,

Was wondering whether there are any improvements in terms of performance running ObjectDesktop (particularly WindowBlinds and DesktopX) on Windows XP since Windows XP supposedly supports skinning natively and Win 2k doesn't.

Thanks.

Dunno. You noticed any improvements?

Well, on XP there is Hyperpaint. This really does work in eliminating repaint time (*if* you have a fast card, GeForce or up). Also, on XP WB uses some of the "native" theme-painting methods (there's debate about exactly how native MS Visual Styles are themselves). I'm not sure how much this increases performance, but I haven't noticed it being any slower.

I've heard that Win2K is overall faster in general benchmarks.
