WB3 makes the news again. :)

I lonw it's a French site and most of you won't understand a thing, but I just saw that WB3 is the featured product on Megagiciel.com, which is a big shareware related site (some sort of a French ZDnet). The article is not exactly a eulogy, but it's still the recommended product of the day.

Oh, and by the way, this is the second time WB get the honor on Megagiciel: the last time was in May 1999, also with a link to Skinz.org to download skins for it.

I like the "la barre de titre des fenêtres" (windowshade mode) bit. But it's rather sad to see it is again explained through the example of mimicing other OSes. Argh, how are we ever going to get rid of ports...

DavidK, Babelfish doesn't seem to work right now, but yesterday it did... It may come back. And it did a fair job, not a great translation, but enough to understand the jist of it.

Crae, the article says that Windowblinds also allows to "n'afficher que la barre de titre des fenêtres", which means "display only the titlebar of the windows". There is no word for "Windowshade mode" in French.

Well, let's invent it then. "Window" is fenêtre and "shade" is umm... crap, what was "shade"? Anyway if you take the word for "shade" (and by "shade" I mean the things you hang outside the house to keep the sun out) and fenêtre and stick a "du" in, you're set. Like "abri du fenêtre". Yeah yeah, so it's probably a feminine word and not a masculine one.

Hehehe! OK, if the French word for shade is "store" then we could invent the word "Store de fenêtre"... not that it would make much sense since that would refert to the blind not to the window. But heck, it doesn't make much more sense in English anyway.
So lets write a little sentence with that new word: Windowblinds permet de réduire vos fenêtre en mode store de fenêtre.
