scripts running unobtrusively?

Hey folks,
Im asking everywhere I can, since Im new to the skinning world. Someone I know has a problem when running a new Rainmeter skin. It shows weather info by reading an RSS feed, from a web-parser plug-in. We've been talking like mad tonight, but his last email has me clueless. His message:
I have DesktopX Weather, The Weather Channel & Weather Network apps installed - I don’t use all at the same time mind you but The Weather Channel, American & Weather Network, Canadian are desktop weather apps that I like because they are discretely functional in the sys tray. Could it be possible that the other weather apps are interfering with [Rainmeters] scripts running unobtrusively?
Could anyone here help me/have an answer for this? Thanks-
