Font problem.

Hey. The current art program I am using it Paint Shop Pro 7, yes I know a bit out of date. Anyway, I was having no problems with it until a couple of months ago.

In the picture above, if you look at the top one very closely you can see on the left side of each letter there is a very dim white stroke. This is ruining the text on almost everything I make. It's not only that font. I have tried re installing the program, and re installing my computer, and nothing seems to work. Has anyone ever had this happen before, or know how I could fix it?

I can't see a difference in your two examples but...In the text tool box you will see options for create as selesction, vector, floating, and antialiasing. Its probably set on antialiasing and that is causing the text to blend into the background.

make sure antialiasing is off, and that you havn't set any stroke color, turn that OFF too... that should work

As you can see, the text looks extremely jagged. It might be a good idea to use anitaliasing or at least fill in the jaggies with the blending color on the edges. For example, I would take that top left pixel and use it on the right top of the "A" too. The antialiasing will give you good blending colors for your background. This way when you zoom out to normal, the text won't look so jagged, but smooth.

What I actually do with large letters is that I trace them with my vector tool(on a new layer). This changes the antialiasing text to vector text. I then remove the old text. I use PSP7 too. I like it much better than PSP8.
