TGA's can be tricky, I would suggest you use PNG's and let SkS convert them to TGA.

In SkS go to Tools > Preferences > Editing > Image Editors > check the "Convert TGA to PNG before using image editors. You can also import PNG's when needed.

Hope that helps.

Make sure that translucency is enabled for the image, in SkS.

I'm headed for bed........ one last thought. Are you creating/editing the PNG with transparency, and are you sure you're saving them with transparency intact? Might help to know what graphics editor you're using also. If no one shows up to help, I'll be checking the thread tomorrow. Good night...  )

I use PS,never had any trouble with .tga's in SS.(except of course not being able to use the translucency in start menu and widow frame graphics of course )

Did you save them as 32 bit?

Imported PNG's are automatically converted to TGA. SkS won't allow you to use transparency? Which graphic are you trying to edit?

IN the right tree view, make sure the Transparency and translucency - Switch is set to "Transparent". And the Translucency -Switch is set to "Translucency is bing used"

Are you using the setting in the tree view, or are you trying to use the checkboxes? You must use the tree view settings here....... I'll be back in a while.
