windows explorer crashes

I'm getting a "windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to shut down" error message when I right click. I'm using XP home. After closing the error window, the desktop seems to refresh and be fine (other than right clicking on any thing). I've been using Object Desktop quite a bit lately so I suspect its related. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi...I'v had the same problem...but it is not related to any program running on your computer..it is a problem with XP only. Initially it only happens occasionally on right click, then may progress to happening when you open or close folders. If it becomes bothersome go to the microsoft knowledge base. Type this in the search field 329692
This download worked perfectly for me

Thank you, MySecret. Given that it was windows explorer that was crashing, I had resigned myself to a serious problem. An easy fix in less than half a day. Thank you again.
