downloaded logonstudio but when i was starting the program it tells me that it failed to load control´CommonDialog´from comdlg32.ocx and that my version could be outdated...........can somebody please tell me what i should do?

1. Do you see a welcome screen when you start your computer? 2. Are you using WinXP? Try to turn on your welcome screen and Turn on "Use Fast User switching". To get there, go to Control Panel/User Accounts. Select change the way users logon and logoff. THen put a check in Use Welcome screen and Use Fast User Switching. Hopefully, that will fix it.

Or, maybe you need to update your files at Windows Update. 3. Are you at least using SP1? 4. And, are you using any other logon programs?

From what I'm reading about your problem it seems that your registry has improperly registered your comdlg32.ocx. This can happen when you uninstall a shareware program that updated the file. When you uninstall it, it replaces the file with a older version and it is not properly registered now. I would visit windows update and look for Visual Basic runtimes.

If you don't see any Visual Basics in windows Update for you to download, do a search on your computer for comdlg32.ocx. Right click the file and choose properties. In the properties window, choose the version tab. Mine is 6.0.88.77. If your version is different, this is the problem.

The fix is to update your visual basic library.
