How would one go about creating a docklet after one has the desired .png one wants?

BTW, I want to know how to do this so I could make some AveDesk docks.

Creating a docklet requires advanced knowledge of C++ or some other specialized coding. You may wish to email AndreasV about this one, considering he is the #1 docklet maker around at the moment.

Creating a docklet requires "some" programming experience.
If you don't want to go as far as C or C++, you can try herds Scriptable MultiMeter Docklet 3, which is scriptable: http://www.dockex.com/?pageId=docklets&dkview=2
