Delete Windows user account

I have two user accounts on my computer. I want to one but ever time I go to do it the program stops responding. In my event viewer under security it lists every time I do this as a failure audit. I use Tweak UI to autologon to my main account but I don't think that affects it. I just want to this unused (my wife's) account. Any tips?

If the one you are trying to is the administrator account, you CAN NOT it. If it is not the admin account, make sure you are not logged in under the account you are trying to as you can not an account that is actively running. Check both accounts and see which on is the guest accout. This is the one you can .

Both accounts were administrator accounts. I changed the one that I wanted to DELETE to limited and tried again but still no luck. I click the save files option then account and I got some hard drive activity this time but then I clicked another window while I waited and when I went back I got the Program Not Responding message again. I am not actively running the account. (as far as I can tell)

Weird about the DELETE thing. .

Turn off the auto logon on and un-check the Welcome Screen. Re-boot and sign in using the user name you want to keep and the password. Now Delete the other account.
