I don't condone these rippers at all, BUT....

In the past this type of public post has been frowned upon as it leads to flared tempers at the thief's DA page, then a bunch of WC users end up looking like angry school children.

Not at all cool of a top WC official to do this IMO.

How is it he's permitted back on after being banned and what's more, doing the same thing that got him banned to begin with!

To me, that's unbelievable. I'm shocked at the lack of proper site administration. What possible excuse for this recurrence can they give?

Done.

*Sigh, what the hell is wrong with these people??

Well, he's just saying report the deviations. It looks like commenting is disabled on the skins anyway.

Right.....

Being that I spent over a week trying to get this user removed last time, I have opted to open this up to people who have been ripped, so they can report it.  I'm not encouraging anyone to act a fool, but to report their skins being ripped.

I commented, this is why I removed all my skins. Nothing is safe at DA!!

What can I say, deviantArt is a place that should be avoided.  Why people even bother with that place is beyond me. o_O

After spending a couple weeks getting the ripped works of mine removed from DA, I deleted all of my uploads there.

While the rips were removed without any trouble from the DA staff, in my opinion they took too long to do it.

It looks to me the site has grown too large to properly manage with the staff they have.

this is just normal DA behaviour... sure when you complain to them they will ban thew person.. but then do nothing when they come back and do the same thing. DA is no longer known to me as deviantart but more like deplorable actions.

Wow, he even has the nerve to disable comments, try to tell people the cursors aren't available on other sites, and then say they're for dA users only....what a douche.

After the BS with rainmeter skins, yes it does look that way. They need to fix it otherwise they will lose all the good artist.

I, too spent considerable time/effort contacting DA's site administrator directly to have him Banned - and he was.

I cannot comprehend how he can setup again with the same nick even.  Obviously the 'ban' is not/was not IP-based, or he's avoided it.

I'll have another go.

As I've been saying for years: DevART is too big for it's own good.

These days it looks like they've 'lost all control' of what's going on on the site.

But hey... they wanted no moderation - so bring on all the shit. 99% of their gallery content is utter useless crap.

I got an email from DA yesterday asking me what I thought of their support. That's because the last time I sent an email to them complaining about the ripper. I said it was satisfactory then asked them how it was possible the ripper was allowed back to do it again. I'm still waiting on an answer.

Well, we're still fighting the fight against the ripped malware skins getting uploaded to the rainmeter gallery. Everyday there's a new one, sometimes 4-5! Testing, reporting, reporting, reporting, reporting!!! Some get taken down, some don't, report it again!

The 'NEW' malware reporting tool is finally up and I'm sure I'll get the chance to use it tonite. I've been told that they are discussing the possibility of implementing an 'antivirus scanner for uploads'.

UPDATE - sure enough, another infected skin, so I reported it and the other 12 infected skins that are still in the Rainmeter Gallery. Over 1300 downloads! So, we'll see if this new 'tool' makes it any faster getting them removed.
