Dreamscape Compatability Problem?

So I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this:

Deskscapes is running - all is well.

But wait. I want to change a key-binding on my Logitech mouse. I open Setpoint to reconfigure my buttons, and viola! Deskscapes is frozen.

It's easy enough to get around: just click on the Dream I was running.

But I play loads of games (each one needing different key combos), and I keep Changing my mouse-keys with certain pieces of software.

Given how often I use Setpoint, having Deskscapes freeze every time I Change my mouse-keys is an annoyance.

Anyone know anything about this?

I believe I saw something about a Logitech software conflict... let me check.

Yep!

JcRabbit (the guy who runs, develops, troubleshoots, themes, etc.) WinStep Extreme (and therefore KNOWS code and Windows) wrote:

Setpoint, for instance, hooks into every process (why would a %##"@ mouse driver need to do that?!) and then has a nasty habit of sending WM_PAINT messages to 3rd party windows, even layered windows (this can make them to go blank and stop updating unless the WM_PAINT message is caught and 'eaten' first)."

in post https://forums.wincustomize.com/402897/page/1/#2880159 .

You might try rolling back to an earlier Logitech driver if they have any available (as Lantek suggested in that thread).

I can't think of a good solution to this short of emailing the problem to Logitech... not much chance you'll see help from that, though. Sorry.
