Does anyone have/had this problem?

Everytime I load a DesktopX object with drive meters I get a message box stating there is no disk in the hard drive, I can click on CANCEL RETRY or CONTINUE, but all that happens is the box instantly reappears, and the only way out of the loop is to reboot and start DesktopX with an empty theme.

Any help greatly appreciated.

which object are you trying to use? Can you provide a link to it?
Also which version of DX are you using?

Sorry for the lack of info. DesktopX 2.10 and the latest one to give that error is SimpleDXInfo, but there are some others whose names I cant remember because I got frustrated and d them.

P.S. I guess you can tell I'm a newbie at this by that behavior.

It sound like the problem is that the object you are trying to use is hard-coded to read a specific drive that obviously doesn't exist on your system. Do you not have a C drive, by any chance? That is a problem sometimes, depending on the object and whomever made it.

*Insert shameless self-promotion here*

Here's a couple of gauge sets that are completely independent in that area. It doesn't matter hwat you've got for drives or how many there are...they'll still work fine. NOTE: you'll need the latest beta of DX or they won't work!

Many thanks to both of you for the help. It turns out to be my D: which is a virtual drive for a memory stick...seems some coding will get past this and some won't. Just thought I'd post this in case it might help someone else.
