Windowblinds doesn't apply entire theme...

I just bought Windowblinds, and I can't seem to get my themes to load all the way. The folders don't look like they do in the screenshots and the 'log off windows' and 'shut down comuter' stay the default XP skins. I'm using the 'Beacon' theme so I know all the stuff is there, it just doesn't seem to get applied.

Am I doing something wrong?

Complete themes or "suites" that encompass interface elements such as icons, cursors and other specialty skins can not generally be applied with Windowblinds alone. Windowblinds is only responsible for changing window, taskbar and start panel styles.

You will need the respective programs to skin other parts of the interface such as IconPackager for the icons. Furthermore, prepackaged themes usually require something like WinStyles or ThemeManager to apply the entire suite at once (but still only if you have all the other software that handles everything included in the theme).

Hope that info helps,

Thanks for your reply. I did apply the theme with Theme Manager/WinStyles, so it should apply the whole thing, but it doesn't. Specifically, though, even if I applied it with Windowblinds, the 'log off windows','shut down comuter', and 'My Documents' screens should be changed, right? Soemthing else is wrong here... I can see all the skins I want when I navigate the theme with SkinStudio, I just can't seem to apply them all.

I have this happen occasionally to me. To fix....

1. Unload DX
2. In Display properties...under Themes Tab...reset the theme to Windows XP
3. Reboot
4. Re-apply WB Skin through Display properties under Appearance Tab. I generally have less problems installing a WB skin this way vs. the WB Advance Configuration.
5. Re-apply any other parts of the theme i was using again (IconPackage, Wallpaper, etc.)
6. DX should've reloaded itself if it was set to load at startup

I am using ODNT with the latest versions of each proggie
Good Luck

Nope...I did exactly that, no luck. I tried never turing DX back on and doing it again, nope.

Strange - it happens with every skin I try - they all have the log off/shutdown skins, but none are applied.

I wish I could get this to work...

In WB Advanced Configuartion Menu under User Overrides...check to see if the following settings are setup this way

Advanced Settings......
Skin console windows checked

XP Overrides.....nothing checked

Also in WB Advanced Configuartion Menu under My Toolbars...Use the WindowBlinds colouring settings and Always use the toolbar icons should be checked

Also in WB Advanced Configuartion Menu under Basic Settings...everything should be checked except dialog backgrounds

If this don't work...like em...i am also stumped....and you should visit the stardock newsgroup with the problem...there you're likely to run into the stardock folks who create this software....news.stardock.com Again Good Luck

Well, figured it out...I had both WB 3 and WB 4 installed. (I didn't know, honest. ) Anyways, uninstalled 'em and reinstalled WB 4, works now.

Thanks for all the help guys.
