Setting number of tiles to be viewed while exploring Wincustomize

When I want to explore new additions to various pages -- wallpapers, ObjectDock, etc. -- I like to view 60 tiles per page. I can no longer get this page size to "stick" as the default; the next time it's back to 9 tiles and I have to change settings under the filter tab. I used to be able to keep the page size at 60. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help.
