Windows XP Silver Taskbar Help

Hello i'm in need of some of you that know alot more about skinstudio or gui customization. What i'm trying to do is very simple in my eyes but I just don't have the "know how" to do it. All I would like is for the Windows XP Silver Taskbar start button, by default is green, I would like for it to match with the rest of the taskbar as Silver. Anyone who could do this for me I would very much appericate it. When you are done with it if you could email it to me at [email protected] or upload it here that would be great. Thanks for all your help.

It is not possible to change the color of the start button if you are using the Microsoft XP user interface.

If you want to change the start button you will need to use a skinning program such as WindowBlinds. There are loads of skins to choose from at WinCustomize so you are sure to find a silver one you like.

Yes, alpha-prime maybe correct. I think you are not using the default taskbar which is green on blue. Windowblinds actaully uses that one as the default new skin from scratch(Luna). The chrome one maybe be a subskin of the default XP skin. You can try recoloring the default Luna in Skin Studio but you can't modify a default Microsoft subskin in Skin studio. Nor can you interchange the pieces. That would be a hack, better left to programs like StyleXP. But, you get what you get when you start hacking system files. Windowblinds doesn't do that, and you are safer with it as a result.
