Programs in Object Desktop are cooperating with me

I've was a user of StyleXp, a very unhappy user when I decided to try out Stardock and Wincustomize. I purchased the Object Desktop and after the 1st couple of days of trial and error, became comfortable enough with the program to know what I was doing. My problem is that after I downloaded the original Object Desktop, I've had to keep downloading every couple of days because the programs seem to disappear. I also have problems with DesktopX, it takes over my system and doesn't let me access anything when I want to exit and shut down. Sounds weird but it is very much true. Did I get a possessed desktop or what's really going on?

With problems such as these, you really should contact [email protected]

Maybe they know how programs suddenly disappear, and DX takes over your computer, but I don't have a clue.

If you mean that your right-click menu doesn't work the way it used on the desktop when DX is running...go into configure DX and under the desktop tab and uncheck 'Hide Desktop Icons'. Also here under the DesktopX tab you can keep DX from running at startup. When you say 'programs are disappearing', if use explorer to browse directly to where the program was installed, it's no longer there or are the shortcuts missing from the start menu?
