What's with the "Yours" rating scale?

Is this really necessary?

I haven't been here in a little while, and I stumbled across another rating, the "Yours" rating, next to the "Average Rating".  And apparently, if you're logged on, you can slide your mouse across to rate it I guess. (Haven't tried it yet).  *browses my library*.  Oh, good.  People can't rate their own stuff.  I was wondering about that.

So, I wonder why this site decided to add this new Rating system?  So far, every "Your" rating i've seen is at zero.  I thought that positive comments were enough to know whether people like your stuff.

It means, it's the rating you gave this skin. it works fine

I believe the "Your Rating" is basically a marker showing what you rated a skin . So if you are logged in and go to someone's skin you have already rated it should show you how you rated it and the the average rating in basically the same as it always was it is now just labeled.Basically the same system just gives us more reference as to what we as idividuals rated a skin this info has always beeen there jsut now is available to us!

:)
