Explorer backgrounds/textures all have "negative" effects on them

As of late on both of my machines, not sure if it was the windows 7 SP1 update that did it but whenever I apply a texture to the explorer background it is displayed with an odd negative effect, much like the negative effects that deskscapes offers on it's dreams. How do i resolve this issue? I've tried uninstalling all stardock software and reinstalling but no dice.

This is just a shot in the dark from looking at your pics, have you checked Display Properties to see that your color quality is set to highest bit depth.

DS adn WB share some code.  Is DS running? Do you have any filters set on DS?

yep, I'm at 32bit and I don't believe i have anything with directshow running unless deskscapes is using it but even with deskscapes disabled I still have this effect. It was either the new ATI drivers or windows 7 SP1 that caused it, I haven't installed anything else but I'm getting this same effect on both of my rigs with windows blinds, both with ATi cards and both with windows 7 64bit.

This is an issue with UIS0 skins and explorer backgrounds that have transparency.  I have reported it to Neil, but am unsure of a fix date.
