Confused with SmartStartup

I was wondering what causes the pink box and how do I make it go away? I reinstalled Stardock Central...but that didn't work. I'm not even sure what program that is, I don't have anything set to load at startup besides DX. So, now I'm confused...any ideas?

My PC is all out of whack anyways, not just with ODNT...just bogged down with so much garbage I guess...maybe it's time for a reformat...

Mine could very well look the same, but it doesn't stay up long enough to tell. I see you fixed the problem with that arrow, and question mark.

Yea, I suppose that's a good thing...I should only hope that the arrow and question mark would of gone away after the 1,432,387,874,187th reinstall of SDC.

Hus-what are the other items in the startup folder in the start menu?

In the programs folder

Ok ok, (sigh) here we go, into the registry.

WARNING: Always be sure to back up the registry before doing this hack!

Let's click the good ol' start button and press run. Type in "regedit" (without the quotes) and press enter. When it comes up, double click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Then double click on software, and double click on stardock. In there there should be a common folder and double click on it. Then double click on StartupManager. You should ony see DesktopX in there. Anything elese in there you delete.

I think Koasati is silly...I thought the first arrow was very original

Meow, I tried your registry edits...and amazingly enough...it worked! Thanks very much for the tip. It's really been driving me crazy...stupid pink box!

Braniac, if you want to use my arrows for anything you will need express written consent and will need to pay a licensing fee.
