OMG I can't believe I missed this game
Hi guys
I was sitting one day chatting to some of my friends on skype and they kept on mentioning this game called sins. So I asked them a few questions and one word phrase stood out. "its like homeworld but much better" And you know they were right.
So I started looking for a place to buy this baby and ordered it from play.com. This was just before xmas and in my frustration of the parcel never arriving I ordered it here on Impulse; thats the trinity edition.
As for the wow factor well wow. The ai in this game is like nothing I have ever seen before; for example I attacked an enemy owned planet with my trusty carrier and a couple of frigates and immediately they ran, but my frigates managed to pick off one of their frigates.
so I start securing the system waiting for my colonizer to arrive to populate the asteroid allowing me to start production guess what OMG the sent a fleet after me so it was my turn to run lol. That was just too funny. hehe
Anyway back to a question about the expansions that Im not clear about. If I choose to play Trinty am I infact playing all 3 (sins, diplomacy and entrenchment) or am I just playing one of the expansions ?
I've been playing as TEC and I see them as a middle of the road race; great economy; good firepower and doesn't rely on shields but moreso on armor which is fine by me. Love my little robots. I don't have too much of a problem with dealing with the pirate raids with this race but if I play Advent I usually have very high casualties when I play them. It's pot luck whether or not I can save my free capitol Is this because they rely much heavier on air power rather than the brute force approach of TEC. (On tec I spec nothing but fighters for air superiority)
Thanks for your replies and thanks for such a great game which I can see me having many hours of entertainment.
