windowblinds trial help

If my 30 days trial is up for windowblinds, will my customization be gone? Or will it still be there except i can't use the program anymore? Your help is much appreciated.

Once the 30 days is up you will not be able to use WindowBlinds.

But will the customizations i did during those 30 days still stay there? Or will they be erased?

It's been a very long time since I used the Trial but from what I remember WB will not work after the 30 days.

It's been a long while since I've used a trial so this may not be accurate.

I believe your desktop will revert to the Windows default classic theme when the trial expires.

Be sure to change it to the desktop theme to your preferred Windows theme in WindowBlinds before uninstalling the trial.

If your running XP you will want to change to the Luna theme and on Vista or7 change it to the Aero theme.

What do you mean by customizations? If you are talking about the skins, I would tend to think they would remain there until you uninstall the program. Er yo intending to purchase the full version?

Yes, i'm talking about the skins. Can someone confirm this please? If the trial expires and the skins won't stay theres no point im gonna use WB. But if the trial expires and the skin will still stay there unless i uninstall it, it's fine.

When the trial expires Windowblinds 'stops' working. Meaning whatever skins you have will also not work. Leaving it installed is like having an app that does nothing. No app ... no skins. The skins will not work without it. Does that answer your question? I had the trial version also and found this out the hard way.

The skins you've downloaded remain in a library its just the trial version will no longer display them.   When you purchase the full version you will have all your skins so long as you don't delete them.

In other words, Trial means you get to use it for 30 days, no longer.

Correct. CarGuy1 is also correct.

You can move and save these skins (rename the file holding them to "skins.bak) and then uninstall the trial Windowblinds through Impulse. Reboot. Then you can run CCleaner to scrub any leftover registry stuff.

I would suggest that after doing that, buy an Object Desktop SUbscription and reinstall the apps through Impulse and move the skins from inside the .bak file to the themes folder in Windowblinds, then open the Windowblinds config window and choose the option to rebuild the list of your skins.

OK?

I meant no working app no working skins. One can't work without the other right? I still have all the skins I dl'd during the trial and then some. No matter though because on Monday the money order goes out. A stripped down version. Just Object Desktop and Trident. BTW ... I received the discount coupon for 20% off. Soon I shall be knee deep in goodies. :w00t:

^ Kaspersky would be incorrect. SD Software is clean.

If you followed everything I wrote, I suggest you open a ticket with Stardock Support.

[email protected]

include this thread's URL. Then wait patiently. They have a queue and if you submit again, the original will move to the back of the line, and you will think you're being ignored when that's not the case.

I'll leave a pm for Hankers to move this to a Stardock Support Forum, but make sure you open a ticket with Stardock Support.
