System Font Problem

For some reason it seems that my system font has changed. It is bold and a different font. The font appears in error messages, "about" windows, and in some title bars. Any idea how to reset it back the default?

Well, if you think it'd help, and it wouldn't be too much trouble, I'd welcome the possible solution

steps:
1)under startmenu click run
2) type in regedit
3)in the tree view on the left go to Hky_local_machine then Software then Microsoft then Windows NT (not windows).
4)Next click on the font substites to open it.
5)Look at the MS Shell DLG option in the right hand pane and if its value is not Tahoma. double click on it and change it to Tahoma. (exact spelling)
6)exit regedit and restart computer.

I hope this works

Scratch that, found the key. Changed it from MS Sans Serif to Tahoma. Rebooted. Still same thing :-\
