Replay Value

I had been ignoring this game for a few months after I had updated and had been unable to play any of my saved games, but just a few days ago I decided to play again. Probably a bad time because I'm near finals week in school, but it only took 8 hours and 40 minutes to win a two star game (Gateway map), which is a couple of weeks shorter than I usually take to play a game. It's still rather a fun game. Taking a vacation from it for the past few months has helped me to appreciate how cool the game is, whereas with continuous play a few months ago I was starting to memorize the special effects patterns unintentionally. Anyhow, SoaSE is a rather fun game to me still.

Yeah, there are some strategy games like Sins, RTW etc. that I always manage to come back to after a break just to have as much fun as when I left off, if not more. A sign of a true classic in my opinion.

You'll find that Sins has even more replay value if you log onto Ironclad Online and play against human opponents.  If you've become bored with the AI and feel it's no longer a challenge, playing other people is the way to go.

I find the AI is fun to play against, at least until the game is "won" and then they give up attacking.
