PDF manual doesn't match software

I don't know if this is a difference in the 30-day trial vs. the purchased product, but I am trying to figure out the WindowBlinds program, after installing the trial (the current version on 11/30/2010), while reading the manual (from the "WindowBlinds Guide PDF" that was installed on my computer when I installed the trial).  Windows 7 Ultimate x64.  This guide shows up in the Start menu.

Page 26 of the PDF says that there is a "Use smart recolouring" checkbox on the Colors tab.  There is not.

Page 53 of the PDF says there is an "active window opacity" and "Inactive window opacity" slider to the right of the "textures" that are listed on the Textures tab.  I don't have these sliders, even after selecting a texture, applying changes, and scrolling all the way to the right to see them.

Does the PDF that's installed with the software simply not match the software?  How the @#$%@#$% are we supposed to figure out how to use the software and what it can do, if the software doesn't match the user guide?  I am a computer progammer, so this situation really baffles me...

I would appreciate any assistance.  Thanks.

I believe that should say Explorer Background tab instead of Textures. May also be Full version only.

Dave, hi! From this page I copied the differences between the trial and enhanced versions of Windowblinds. As you can see, the trial version has fewer features and expires after 30 days. I think they simply went this way and just have one version of the pdf.

Hope this helps.

Features of WindowBlinds 7 (Enhanced Version)
Includes all of the features of WindowBlinds Trail version, plus the following:
Skin non-theme aware programs.
Skin unsigned per pixel skins.
Change color/hue/brightness on the fly.
Change toolbar icons of Internet Explorer and Explorer type windows.
Change progress animations.
Semi-transparent, Explorer backgrounds.

Features of WindowBlinds 7 (30 Day Trial Version):

Most features are available in this trail, but after 30 days WindowBlinds will stop working.
Skin Theme-Aware programs.
Skin Windows Start Bar.
Add animations to start panel.
Skin different programs with different skins.
Skin Explorer Views (shell styles).
Add more title bar buttons (roll-up, etc..).
Supports Windows 7.
Skin scrollbars and toolbar icons.

Note the differences and that under the trial version it says "Most features......"
