Installation Error

Good day!

I keep encountering a problem when installing Window Blinds on my Windows XP. Whenever I install Windows Blind , regardless of what day or time it keeps repeating the same error. After 7% of installation an error pops up saying :

"The file 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\Window Blinds\anim.dll' could not be opened. Please check that your disk is not full and that you have access to the destination directory. The system cannot find the path specified."

I am the administrator on my computer and my hard drive is definitely not full so why do I keep encountering this problem? Could anyone give any suggestions or solutions? That would be nice and I will appreciate them.

Thanks :)

What version of WindowBlinds are you trying to install and are you using Impulse to install it with?

Do you have any security software running that might be locking the file?

I'm installing the latest version of Window Blinds and I have installed Impulse already. I am also running Avast in gaming/silent mode so I don't understand if Avast is blocking the file.

Try disabling Avast entirely for the duration of the installation process and see if that helps.  You can also try downloading and running the following file:

http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/stardock_access.bat

Save the file, right click it and select "Run as Administrator" if you're on Vista/Windows 7, just run it if you're on XP.  This may solve your issue.
