Brad makes a mistake, everyone else suffers.

Was going to post this to the thread about the layoffs but Brad, in between making a big deal of how the scales have fallen from his eyes and he's now seeing the whole Elemental thing with far more objectivity than he used to, locked it because people were demanding the wrong sort of objectivity.

My question is this: why is it that when Brad's the one who screwed up, Brad isn't the one who loses his job?

Brad admits that a hell of a lot of the Elemental blame lies with him and his loss of objectivity with regards to the project. Who lost their jobs when Elemental's launch flopped? Not Brad.

Brad also admits that it took him far too long to realise that OS/2 was a dead platform and get out. Who lost their job? Not Brad!

So, Brad, how much damage do you have to do to Stardock before you feel you have to resign? Heck, for that matter why didn't you consider taking a hefty pay cut in order to save the jobs of some of the people you just shitcanned?

Ultimately, it's you who gambled their paycheque on Elemental - don't deny it, if it weren't the case the Elemental flop wouldn't have made you lay them off - and it's you who screwed up the Elemental launch. Isn't it time to take some real responsibility and actually suffer the negative consequences of your mistakes for once, rather than imagining that firing a couple of people and then feeling sad about it clears your slate?
