That Formula One hoon.....Hamilton....avoided a criminal record so he didn't screw his chances to race in the US......
He did get a fine for doing donuts in the streets of Melbourne earlier this year at the Aussie Grand Prix.....
$500 AUD.
Bit of a giggle....he makes that on average every 12 minutes....;)
someone that does stupid things behind the wheel of a car, like donuts at 3am in the morning, illegal street racing ect.....
he deserved to be fined more. This does not send a good message to others who want to drive like dickheads and put other road users lives at risk. No more warnings or car impoundings for idiot drivers. 1st offense crush the damn car and send them a bill for cube removal.
It's not unlikely that he will donate to some entity dealing in road trauma.
Silly thing was/is that we [as officials] provide him with protected, safe locations for showing his 'driving skills'....where there is effectively no danger to the public.
I've stood on the track with the Waltzing Matilda doing donuts 20 feet away.....it can be setup quite 'safely'.
For those wondering....the Waltzing Matilda is a 'drag truck'....a Louisville powered by a Rolls Royce Avon engine from a Canberra bomber....noisy 'little' bugger, too ....;)
