Reverse Engineer a DesktopX theme?

So what I'm wondering is, is there anyway to bust open a .desktop file and extract the individual elements from it?  Then only load the things you want; widgets, wallpaper, etc.

Yes, there is.

Load the theme you want. In builder mode, of course. Then open the object navigator. (Right click the DX icon in the systray and choose list objects). Choose what to remove there, save. If you're good, you can separate items there and choose to export parts as widgets, for more info on that, ask here.

You can access the graphics directly by going here: D:\Users\Jim Dillard\AppData\Local\Stardock\DesktopX\CurrentTheme

Substitute your user name, of course.

Or you could just right click the icon in systray, choose configure DesktopX Builder, choose the desktop tab, open desktop data folder. Takes you to the same directory.
