Toolbar skinning.

After a complete uninstall and install of WB
(to get rid of a shareware hangover problem),
toolbars are no longer skinned with the supplied icons,
as eg on the Apollo skin. They were before (as was the
shut down window). I think I've checked all the correct
boxes in WB config.
I am running the latest beta version of WB, on XP Home,
but it was the same on the last `proper' version of WB.
I would like to buy the Xtoon suite
etc but don't feel like it if I can't get the full effect.

I applied the Apollo WB skin on my system and didn't have any problems. I am using WB released version 4.20.017. People have noted issues with the unreleased Beta in other threads.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have gone back to
4.20.017 but I still cannot get the toolbars
to work. They did on a previous installation
but I cannot retrieve this.

Check the toolbar settings in WB Advanced Configuration. If the Apollo skin installation isn't corrupt, the buttons should show there. If they don't delete the Apollo skin and re-download it https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=1&SkinID=3642

I'm running out of ideas. The skin's okay. The Toolbar settings in WB are set to "Use the WB colouring settings" and "Always use the toolbar icons defined in the current skin". You're not using a Beta. Do you have WebBlinds running?

Can't be WebBlinds. It only affects IE. Just tried it. I'm sorry I can't think of another thing. Don't give up hope, I'm sure another more experienced user will come along to this thread.

Yes...it can be Web Blinds. Do you have it installed?

No I don't, but WindB has suddenly decided to work properly!
I've no idea why as I think all the boxes are checked
exactly as they were, but there are so many of them.
The only thing was that I unchecked and then rechecked
the box in XP overides `always use shellstyle defined in'.
At the moment the box always comes up with `always use
Blue Shellstyle'. I thought I had `Apollo' in the box and
then pressed `apply changes'. Maybe this was what did it.
Sorry this is so garbled.

Actually, I don't know what this option does, or means.
Is there a best setting?

Curiously, although I have Aquarium skin loaded, when I
turn off the computer, I get the Apollo close down window!
Thanks for keeping me at it.

In XP Overrides....nothing should be checked by default
