Alienware Releases the "AlienGUIse" Theme Manager

http://www.alienware.com/intro_Pages/aw_desktop_theme.aspx
Alienware has made their desktop suites available as a free download or pre-installed with the purchase of a new computer system.

Alienware systems are universally known for exclusive customization options like distinctive cases and one-of-a-kind colors. Now Alienware has taken this creativity to a new level by licensing Stardock's Theme Manager technology to extend Alieware's unique style to the Microsoft® Windows® operating system desktop. Alienware is the first and only system manufacturer to pre-load AlienGUIse™ Theme Manager on all new systems, giving you the opportunity to display incredible looking Alienware-centered skins such as AlienMorph™ and ALXMorph™, created by The Skins Factory.

Best of all, it’s free of charge!

Top skin, have Alienware machine so this is a bonus...

Header bar is a bit too chunky for my liking and the skin overlaps with a dual monitor setup, oh and the radio buttons don't work...can't use it with Alienware's own website...

A flat button version seems a must...

The icons however are the nutz, should be released as a separate pack...

Well, the download pop-up does not seem to do a lot of things, does it?
Hopefully, that will be fixed at some point in time or at least there will be an explaination, I must have been registered 5 times for their newsletter.
If it is a shameless way of harvesting e-mails for spam, it sure is working and it is quite sad that the talented artists of the Skins factory get dragged along.

*******************PLEASE READ*****************

Alienware is experiencing extremely heavy download volumes. One might say, they are paying the price of success!

Once you have entered your email address, you are supposed to get a pop-up that lets you download then Suite. But with hundreds, maybe thousands of simultaneous requests, they are just being overwhelmed.

Alienware is working with Gamespot, IGN, Download.com and other sites to set up mirrors. Please excercise a little patience until the situation is relieved.

Thanks!

This is a very fast mirror. Please let us know here what you think of the skins -)

This mirror was graciously donated by Russ (EMF WarCry) of Angry-Fly. Thanks again Russ.

I had my Employer purchase an Area 51 last year. He messes with his computers and I have to fix them, so I figured this might help me out a ton.
Well he messed and messed and finally bought himself a new Sony, lastedn one week and he complained to them and sent it back.
But.....
I now have the Alienware!!!
Wiped it clean and started over.
It's absolutey the Bomb!
15,000 rpm scsi hardrive with 3.6 second access time. With all my stuff loaded still boots up completely in about 20 seconds.
Now if I could download this skin, I've been trying for 2 days now

Wow. Thanks for the mirror. I've been dreaming about getting this since I saw the previews. Downloading it now. Looks just like what I've been yearning for. Thanks again for the mirror.

The mirror isn't working also.

Can't Stardock put this file on their servers?

I have been trying now all day to download the file.. no luck

Wow, thanks everyone for working so hard to get this out. I guess its good Alienware is so popular, it shows how important skinning is becoming.

Just installed and I just have to say

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW

This is the COOLEST theme in a long time. I think alienware could get away with selling it (but are probably going to be selling a lot more PCs because of it)

To everyone involved, thanks for such outstanding work.

Wonderful effort getting the goods to the people.

Special thanks to Alienware, The Skins Factory, Stardock, WC, and of course "angry-fly" for the mirror.

As efficient as it should be with all the technical goodies we have to play with!

Wow. Gotta be happy about those stats. And one thing unique about WC download counts, which bears mentioning again because WC is the only site that does this - repeat downloads from the same person don't count.  So if something here says it has 10,000 downloads that means 10,000 different people have it.

Here's a nice bit of info from Russ as he's monitoring the downloads. Keep in mind his mirror went up in the middle of the day: "As of 7:00 PM EST My site has had 10,337 successful downloads of the file. And it seems to be climbing!!"

Now that's what we like to see! He's getting some of the runoff from WC but also Customize, Neowin, WinMatrix and Notebook Forum.

Jesh, how's the reaction on Neowin? I haven't had a chance to follow that much.
