Random defeat

So I was playing Advent on a medium-large map with three stars and four empires. I had already wiped out one empire, and was in the process of wiping out another when suddenly I got the defeat screen. "The unity's voice has gone silent!" I looked at the stats screen, and I definitely did not lose a cultural battle, as I had the highest culture. Honestly I don't play that often, so I don't know if there are certain special victories, but does anyone have a clue what happened?

Are you playing the Diplomacy expansion? If so, did you have diplomatic victory enabled? This victory type is based on diplomatic point accumulation and could cause an early defeat.

Diplomacy victory is a little spontaneous, even arbitrary.  This is probably the cause of your defeat, but fortunately you can turn it off.

The only way to lose in Entrenchment is to lose control of all your planets.  Can you provide a replay?  This sounds like a bug...

Uh, sorry, as I mentioned I don't play that often, and I'm not in the habit of manually recording my games. I think I have two autorecord files that will do the trick. Is there a way to get to those?

Yes.  The file should be in a folder called "Autorecord-Single" or something like that.  If you look at the details of files in that folder, the date and time of the file is the date and time when the game ended.  You just pull it out, name it whatever you want, and upload it to a free file storage site like FileFront.com.  To find the Application Data folder where it is located see the second post in this thread:

Thanks for the responses, guys. Ok, I think I did this correctly. Since it was autorecorded, it's in three parts, hopefully I put them in the right order. I don't need to tell you the whole thing's quite long. Part 1 should be here, part 2 here, and part 3 here.
