I have Entrench/Diplomacy not Trinity - My friend has trinity, how do we play together?

So I launch Diplomacy from Impulse launcher. He launches Trinity. In my screen it says Diplomacy, on his screen it says Trinity.

Even when he selects Diplomacy from the menu, it says Trinity in the screen.

So when I try to host a LAN game (via hamachi) he can't join because his mesh files differ.

How do we trick sins into thinking we're both using the same game? We both have v.1011.

Technically, Trinity is just a compilation of Vanilla, Entrenchment and Diplomacy. The problem appears to be the Trinity installation CD contained additional meshes not included in the download version of Diplomacy. Check out this thread for an easy way to fix the issue.
