E3, was Stardock there?

I was looking at CNN's coverage of the E3 and was surprised that Steam was labelled as a "big winner" by the report. While not a big fan of Impulse, I'm certainly a much less fan of Steam. I like to think of Impulse as something like Steam but with attitude becasue of the customization software that Impulse offers.

Anyhow, were you all there representing our interests?

With the impending release of Elemental (August) and all the work that needs to go into getting that game finished and out to retail (not to mention all of the Impulse::Reactor tech we're building for it), we skipped E3 this year.  More pressing deadlines took priority.

GDC is actually where we've put most of our outreach efforts the last few years.  That event is more focused on developer technology and building better relationships with indies, publishers etc.

CNN?

Covering E3?

PSHAW!

I thought E3 was interesting this year. Usually, you can watch Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony's press conferences and skip the rest. Not so much this year. The press conferences were AMAZINGLY boring and drawn out. Maybe it's because none of this gimmicky motion controllable nonsense interests me. That's not to say I haven't had fun with the Wii... I just don't want to play the next Elder Scrolls game with Sony's flashy vibrator or wildly flailing around as if I'm having a seizure using Microsoft's device. :-"

I honestly wish people would start working on more titles like Little Big Planet, World of Goo, Patapon, Limbo, Castle Crashers, The Dishwasher, and Peggle. I love all of those new download-only games that have unique art styles and gameplay elements. Call of Duty and Madden games were getting stale for me years ago.

Anywho, I went a little off-topic there. Sorry. :P

We have the Wii and my favorite game was Pangya golf. that is until I did some damage to my ankles from repetition on the swing. I guess you're not suppose to play so many hours. still dealing the damage 2 years later to some degree, but damn it was fun.

back on topic; well anyway, I hope you guys kick some steam butt.

How can you hate STEAM!!!?!?!?!??!!? Its a great way to get, play, and share games without having to drive to a game store!! PC Games at least.
