Isn't it ironic that something can be so deadly and beautiful at the same time.
Incredible power!! Luv the pic of the older gent finding his horses, they look like dear old friends. Hope they fare well. And the 2nd would be the lone vehicle driving to the blackness that is the volcano.
Thanks
Amazing! I never thought about lightening during a volcanic eruption. What great photos! One can only imagine what it must have been like when Pompeii was destroyed. Thanks so much for sending the photos. NetaholicsAnonymous are you from Boston by any chance?
Fantastic shots....especially the lake scene in Switzerland....makes the world so much smaller. Who knew about the eruption causing lightning strikes? Amazing!
That is an incredible image.
No I'm not from Boston, I am near Columbus, Ohio. The link to the Boston Globe images was sent to me from a friend near Boston.
Wow, I didn't expect these pictures to be so beautiful. The lightning is makes it look so much more powerful. You really have to appreciate nature when you see things like this (especially since it's Earth day). By the way, Vlad made a wallpaper for it - http://www.vladstudio.com/home/
