Carbonix Skin Pack Now Available!

Carbonix Skin Pack Now Available!

https://www.stardock.com/products/skinpacks/carbonix/

After months of effort, the 5 premium visual styles in the Carbonix Skin Pack are ready to go. The 5 skins make full use of the new WindowBlinds 4 features and were personally tweaked by Stardock's SkinStudio development team to ensure flawless performance.

The 5 skins are designed to appeal to all user styles. Carbonix itself is one of Treetog's coolest skins with its own unique use that is both visually appealing and still useful. MikeB created Apogee, a skin that shows off the best of the WindowBlinds 4 features while delivering a truly alternative look.

Carbonix also comes with Cardz, a skin that has the title bar buttons on the bottom and makes your windows look like pieces of hardware. Visit the Carbonix home page to see screenshots of each one. The entire skin pack is only $8.95 for all 5 skins.

Nice Skins (especially Carbonix)! Overall good idea...

I'm holding off on buying them for now for a couple of reasons:

1. It needs to be clarified if the wall's are included (someone posted they were having problems finding them).

2. I really would like to see (and would be willing to pay extra for) more complete suites including Logon, Cursor XP, Icon Packager, Winamp &/or WMP, Sysmetrix, etc.) Carbonix is awesome and certainly warrants this (please don't get me wrong the other skins are fantastic too, Carbonix just caught my own, personal fancy). I don't see why Wincustomize can't offer complete suites to make money - I've been using Stardock products just about from day one and would love to see more larger suites.

Enough b----ing for now, the skins are beautiful - kudos to Treetog, Alexandrie and Pixtudio - you all rock!

I have purchased many of the premium suites that have been offered and have been very staisfied with them. However I feel that these 5 skins do not live up to the same quality and appeal as other suites. Granted the "Cardz" skin is very unique but the skin pack altogether just doesn't hit the mark for me to spend $8.95. There have been quite few free skins produced that are great skins such as the "Meltdown" skin whic is quite colorful and very well made.

I am not trying to be negative about this skin pack because I hold the individual authors works in high regard, but the skin pack just seems to not hit the mark for me.

I for one am more than happy to pay a measley (sp?) 9 bucks for these skins. I feel that it is a bargin and if it helps these folks to continue producing works of art like this then no problem. It obviously is a lot of colaborative hard work and I will continue to support them in any way I can. Again, great pack of WB skins. My biggest problem is I can't decide which one I want to use.

Use one as the base skin and have the others as per-app skins. That way you can use them all at once.

Purchased and currently enjoying Apogee (love the subtle animatations) What also impressed me is that they all work perfectly with Win2K. Cardz is a mad skin .

Yes, that's what impresses me also, I use 2K , i do NOT
like XP, 2K is the BEST OS Microsoft ever produced. PLEASE, PLEASE, Skinners, keep 2K OS in mind when making your Skins.

I'm curious... did any of you guys actually zoom in on the images? I think they are done quite nicely.

why would these skins not work on win2000?

anyway, I like them. It could have some more skins in there (maybe 7 instead of 5 WB skins) but I still like it.

Not all skinners bother to skin the classic taskbar or they leave magic pink lying about the place

I agree with the comments that walls should have been included other than that they are OK skins.

Syncronus rocks! Carbonix is very cool too. All of the skins are extremely well done -- thorough skinning and lots of elegant detail. Cardz is mad, indeed. Can't look at it for more than a few minutes at a time -- a little too busy. Apogee works especially well in Outlook so I have that app skinned accordingly. Money well spent says I!

glad to support the community (i think i've purchased every premium winstyle suite, windowblinds suite, and icon packager suite from 3 or 4 skinning sites), but with the exception of "cardz", all of these seem vaguely reminisent of skins past.

btw, where are the wallpapers i see in a couple of the shots? and why, oh why, do treetogs skins (synchronus, i speak of) -despite there otherwise good looks- 1) seen to always have a tiny font for the system tray clock (it always looks like blurry o'clock to me), and 2) force the text on unselected tab strips to overrun the borders of the tab on either side? why, why, why? it's never a good look. never. if synchronus isn't treetogs baby, then apologies.

also, does anyone else get a start panel about 50% taller when using synchronus?

These skins are gorgeous. These collaborations amongst the top skinners seem to bring out more innovation with each new release.Keep it coming!!

I will gladly pay for these skins. For the mere fact that they have already given me so many free ones. These things are hard to make and take a lot of time. I think such talented generous skinners deserve to be paid for there efforts!! Thanks guys, And girls..

I purchased the pack, but not realising the serial needed to instal them wass on the final confirmation page, I closed the browser without noting the number Stupidly no email copy is sent to the email address I provided, so now I cannot install them. I emailed Stardock and have had no reply, and the serial lookup claims to email me my serial number, but it never has a single serial number included (god knows why?).

I think Stardock should do sales via BMT Micro (like Pixtudio use) as that is much better.

Stardock, any chance of me being sent my skin pack serial number then or what?

One upside, the Skins looked great, maybe soon I can use them.

Cheers

i know the suites skinners are reading....can you tell me where the wallpapers are that go with some of the skins? i ask because a few of them look like part of the package and i can't find them in their directories or on wincustomize.

Ok, I'm eating humble pie now, seems I typo'd me email address, I hate when that happens. SORRY STARDOCK! Now I can enjoy these wicked WB Skins

Cheers

Sorry dudes, but these just don't strike me as commercial quality skins, even for Windowblinds efforts. Carbonix is without doubt the strongest of the three here and even that isn't the sort of skin you could honestly use day in day out whilst going about your everyday PC business. PixOS was, I suspect, something of a high watermark.
