Next week users of Object Desktop (www.objectdesktop.com) will be getting the first ALPHA of WindowBlinds 4.

Major new features of WindowBlinds 4 are:

* Much faster than WindowBlinds 3 or Windows XP's own built in visual styles
* Higher level of compatibility with wacky applications that do non-standard things.
* Skins more elements of Windows including the Explorer task panel (shellstyles) WITHOUT requiring any hacking of shellstyle DLL.
* Can skin new elements like log off screens and other parts that one might not imagine.
* Plus it skins a host of other things users have long asked for.

WindowBlinds 4 will be the most significant engine upgrade to WindowBlinds since the original 1.0. Faster, smaller, more features.

I donot know but I still only have desktop1.92 in my alpha section of component manager of desktop X even though people have been saying its been around for awhile and still no sign of windowblinds 4 yet

The post was made on sunday... so tonight or tomorrow night would be as late as it can be for 'a week'. Unless like Dangeruss mentioned, they meant NEXT week. Now that would be torture o.o

And then again, there's going to be a ton of us downloading this thing the second it's put out. Watch, we'll crash all the fancy new server stuff and cause another shutdown of the site

The new SkinStudio is up though with support for WB4... i think WB4 is not far behind.
